Bot Blocking Policy

We know that the stable and uninterrupted operation of a website is crucial for both our clients and their audiences. To minimize the risk of downtime caused by an excessive number of "artificial" connections generated by bots, we have decided to block some of them.

It is worth noting that artificial bot traffic is not just a matter of connections—it represents actual consumption of your hosting account resources. This is because the server must process and display the website to such "agents" just as it would for any regular visitor.

Currently, the highest volume of artificial traffic is generated by bots scraping data for machine learning and AI models. Based on our experience and recent analysis, we are blocking bots whose intensity significantly impacts the performance of our clients' accounts and the stability of the entire server.

Current list of blocked bots: Amazonbot, ClaudeBot, Bytespider, CCBot, Diffbot, FacebookBot, GPTBot, omgili, PerplexityBot, YouBot, anthropic-ai, Claude-Web, cohere-ai, Omgilibot.

These blocks are designed to protect your services—excessive artificial traffic can lead to resource exhaustion and, consequently, website downtime.

Importantly, key bots responsible for search engine indexing (e.g., Googlebot) remain fully permitted.

If there are additional bots not included on this list that you wish to block, you can do so manually using our guide.
